Following the success of the previous conferences held throughout Europe, the 8th ATMC (Advances in Tourism Marketing Conference) will be hosted by the University of Namur (NADI research Institute, Cercle Center for Research on Consumption and Leisure) on September 4-7, 2019. It will bring together academic researchers, policy makers and practitioners to explore, analyze, and evaluate the state of the art in tourism marketing from an international perspective.

It aimed at arising awareness among public officials, politicians and researchers of the themes of the Smart City or Territory, and at formulating and co-constructing good practices.

Les géants du web sont-ils les nouveaux maîtres du monde? La question se pose chaque jour un peu plus. Les Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft (GAFAM) agrandissent sans cesse leur périmètre d’activités et collectent nos données qui sont ensuite traitées par de puissants algorithmes. Alors, glisse-t-on vers une "algorithmocratie" qui pourrait à terme priver nos sociétés du pouvoir de déterminer collectivement leur avenir? C’est la question qui fut mise en débat le 25 mars 2019 à à l'Université de Namur.

The kick-off conference of NADI took place on October 23rd 2018. Around 300 participants participated to it. With a special focus on Artificial Intelligence, the conference offered to the researchers a workshop on a the issues and challenges of Artificial Intelligence, a keynote by P. Giorgini, on "You said Artificial Intelligence ?", a round table on Artificial Intelligence in all its aspects and a poster sesions during which NADI researchers discussed ongoing research.
